Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets. November contract at Rs 265/kg, December at Rs 268.20/kg. Demand from industries supports prices.
New Delhi, Nov 20 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday rose by 40 paise to Rs 265 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in November went up by 40 paise, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 265 per kg in a business turnover of 1,896 lots.
Similarly, the December contract advanced by 15 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 268.20 per kilogram in 1,849 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
