Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb 0.42% to Rs 385.20/kg on fresh bets. Positive spot market trend and demand from industries support price increase.
New Delhi, May 20 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose nearly 0.42 per cent to Rs 385.20 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of aluminium for delivery in June increased by Rs 1.60, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 385.20 per kilogram in 164 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
