Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Surge

Aluminium futures jump 5.75% to Rs 350.50/kg on fresh bets. Positive spot market trend and demand from industries support price rise.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday rose by nearly 5.75 per cent to Rs 350.50 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February increased by Rs 19.05, or 5.75 per cent, to Rs 350.50 per kilogram in 4,973 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
