Aluminium Futures Rise on Fresh Bets in India

Aluminium prices climbed in India's futures market on Wednesday, driven by increased speculation and demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday climbed 0.37 per cent to Rs 229.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for September delivery increased 85 paise or 0.37 per cent to Rs 229.55 per kg in a business turnover of 1,552 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
