Aluminium futures prices climbed 0.88% on Thursday, reaching Rs 224.70 per kg, driven by fresh speculative positions and positive spot market trends.
New Delhi, Sep 12 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday climbed 0.88 per cent to Rs 224.70 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for October delivery increased Rs 1.95 or 0.88 per cent to Rs 224.70 per kg in a business turnover of 889 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
