Aluminium Futures Rise on Global Cues

Aluminium futures climb to Rs 338.10/kg on MCX, boosted by positive global market trends and increased demand outlook.

New Delhi, Mar 27 (PTI) Aluminium prices extended gains for the fifth straight session, rising Rs 1.95 to Rs 338.10 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, tracking firm trends in the global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for the April delivery increased Rs 1.95, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 338.10 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,722 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders amid a positive trend in the global markets supported aluminium prices.
Globally, aluminium prices increased USD 21.05, or nearly 1 per cent, to USD 3,270 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Market participants said improved demand outlook and firm global cues largely influenced aluminium prices in the domestic market.
