Aluminium Futures Rise on Speculative Bets

Aluminium futures climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, driven by speculative buying and positive sentiment in the spot market. Analysts attributed the rise to demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Sep 13 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday climbed 0.66 per cent to Rs 227.30 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for October delivery increased Rs 1.50 or 0.66 per cent to Rs 227.30 per kg in a business turnover of 1,199 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
