Aluminium Futures Surge on Speculative Bets

Aluminium futures prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased speculative trading and demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Oct 24 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday increased Rs 2.95 to Rs 246.50 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in November rose Rs 2.95 or 1.21 per cent to Rs 246.50 per kg in 2,998 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
