New Delhi, May 29 (PTI) Asian Paints on Friday reported a 69.15 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,185.49 crore in the March quarter of FY26.

The company had logged a net profit of Rs 700.83 crore during the January-March period a year ago, Asian Paints said in a regulatory filing.

Revenue from sales went up 10.79 per cent to Rs 9,228.46 crore in the March quarter of FY26. It was at Rs 8,329.59 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

"Q4FY26 performance was a quarter of all-around performance, with double-digit volume and value growth and margin expansion. The quarter witnessed improvement in the domestic decorative business with the business delivering a 12.4 per cent growth in volume and 10.2 per cent growth in value terms," it said.

Asian Paints' total expenses were at Rs 7,829.17 crore in the March 2026 quarter, up 7.6 per cent year-on-year.

Total consolidated income of Asian Paints, which includes other income, was at Rs 9,418.07 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, up 11.34 per cent.

Standalone net sales, primarily from domestic sales, were up 10.29 per cent to Rs 7,894.05 crore in the March quarter from Rs 7,157.14 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

"The industrial business delivered a strong double-digit growth during the quarter, driven by automotive, general industrial and protective coatings segments, taking the overall domestic coatings value growth to 11 per cent," it added.

Asian Paints net sales from the international business increased by 11 per cent to Rs 888.1 crore in Q4 FY26.

The growth was led by units in Sri Lanka, Egypt and the UAE.

For the entire FY26, Asian Paints' net profit was up 18.46 per cent to Rs 4,394.69 crore. Its total consolidated revenue was at Rs 36,307.34 crore, up 5.3 per cent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Asian Paints said its board, in a meeting held on Friday, recommended a final dividend of Rs 23 per equity share for FY26.

"The total dividend for the financial year ended 31st March 2026 aggregates to Rs 27.50 per equity share of the face value of Re. 1 each, including the interim dividend of Rs 4.50 per equity share", which was approved by the Asian Paints board on November 12, 2025.

About the outlook, Managing Director & CEO Amit Syngle said the external environment remains fluid, with the West Asia conflict contributing to near-term uncertainty in demand.

"However, supported by strong fundamentals and execution discipline, we remain resilient to navigate this volatility and sustain our performance," he said.

Shares of Asian Paints on Friday settled at Rs 2,672.10 per scrip on BSE, down 0.01 per cent from the previous close.
