Avi Polymers launches KrishiBuddy, an AI-powered agritech platform offering insights, crop monitoring, and pest alerts for Indian farmers.

Mumbai, Apr 15 (PTI) Speciality chemicals and polymer manufacturer Avi Polymers on Wednesday announced its foray into the agritech space with the launch of an AI-powered platform, which will offer agricultural insights.
The AI-powered platform 'KrishiBuddy' offers satellite-based crop monitoring, a profit calculator using live mandi prices, and pest and disease alerts to support better farm decisions, the company said in a statement.
The launch marks the company's strategic entry into the fast-growing agritech space and reflects its focus on building innovation-led solutions aimed at transforming the way Indian farmers access and use agricultural intelligence, it said.
Chintan Patel, Managing Director, said, "Agriculture in India is at a turning point where access to the right information can change outcomes for millions of farmers. With KrishiBuddy, our aim is to make advanced technology simple and usable for every farmer, regardless of their scale or background."
Going forward, we plan to further strengthen the platform with IoT led solutions and deeper integration with farmer producer organizations, so that Indian agriculture becomes more connected, efficient, and globally competitive, he added.
