BASF announces new global service and digital hubs in Hyderabad, India, by Q2 2026. Aims to enhance global operations and digital transformation.
Hyderabad, May 5 (PTI) Chemicals giant BASF on Tuesday announced setting up a new global service hub and a global digital hub here in the second quarter of 2026, through its Global Business Services organisation.

The Letter of Intent (LOI) was exchanged between Telangana Life Sciences CEO Sarvesh Singh and Tobias Dratt, President, Global Business Services at BASF in the presence of Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, an official release said.

The global service hub and global digital hub to be operated under BASF Global Business Services Private Ltd, will serve as integrated centres supporting BASF's global operations across key functions, including finance, human resources, supply chain, regulatory services, and in-house consulting, it said.

It will play a central role in standardising processes, driving operational efficiency, and enabling digital transformation across BASF's worldwide business units.

As part of the company's global delivery network, the hub will support coordinated, technology-led operations across regions.

Sridhar Babu said: "Today, Hyderabad stands among the fastest-growing GCC (global capability centres) hubs in the country, surpassing most major cities and adding over 75 GCCs in the past year alone. We are now setting our sights even higher, with a target of over 100 new GCCs and more than 1 lakh jobs this year."
