Cooperative Sector & Developed India Vision
Jaipur, Mar 24 (PTI) The cooperative sector would play a crucial role in realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047, Minister of State for Cooperation Gautam Kumar Dak said on Tuesday.

Addressing an award event of the National Cooperative Development Corporation, the minister said the state government is prioritising the cooperative sector and working to extend its benefits to a larger population.

Dak said Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is prioritising the cooperative sector, noting that around 9 lakh new members were added during a membership drive held in October.


According to an official statement, he said the cooperative movement is also contributing towards the goals of self-reliant India and promotion of indigenous practices.

Dak urged other societies to take inspiration from the award-winning organisations and strive for excellence, adding that efforts are being made to ensure that the benefits of cooperation reach the grassroots level.

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) conferred the 'Regional Excellence and Merit Awards-2025' on cooperative societies for outstanding performance in various categories. Dak presented the awards at a ceremony held here.
