Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand in India
Copper futures prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to reduced demand in the domestic market. Speculators trimmed their positions, leading to the price decline.
New Delhi, Dec 11 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.25 per cent to Rs 828.60 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery eased by Rs 2.05 or 0.25 per cent to Rs 828.60 per kg in a business turnover of 5,596 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
