Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Copper futures fell 0.09% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced positions and weak demand in the domestic market. Analysts cite speculation and muted spot market demand as key factors.
New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Copper futures on Saturday fell 0.09 per cent to Rs 828.10 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery eased by 75 paise or 0.09 per cent to Rs 828.10 per kg in a business turnover of 6,207 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
