Copper futures prices fell on Monday due to muted demand in the domestic market, with traders reducing their positions. The decline was driven by a lack of buying interest in the spot market.
New Delhi, Sep 23 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell 0.53 per cent to Rs 818.15 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery eased by Rs 4.35 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 818.15 per kg in a business turnover of 6,758 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
