Copper futures fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand and trimming of positions by speculators.
New Delhi, Oct 15 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.96 per cent to Rs 817.50 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery eased by Rs 7.90 or 0.96 per cent to Rs 817.50 per kg in a business turnover of 7,649 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
