Copper futures declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to muted demand in the domestic market. Speculators reduced their positions, leading to a decrease in prices.
New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.2 per cent to Rs 812.35 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for September delivery eased by Rs 1.60 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 812.35 per kg in a business turnover of 4,539 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
