Copper futures declined on Wednesday due to weak demand in the domestic market, according to PTI. Analysts attribute the decline to speculation and muted spot market activity.
New Delhi, Jan 22 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.39 per cent to Rs 834 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery eased by Rs 3.25 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 834 per kg in a business turnover of 4,151 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
