Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand - PTI

Copper prices in India's futures market rose on Thursday due to increased spot demand, according to PTI. Analysts cite increased bets by participants as a factor in the price increase.
New Delhi, Aug 22 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 0.14 per cent to Rs 813.70 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in September traded higher Rs 1.15 or 0.14 per cent at Rs 813.70 per kg in a business turnover of 6,546 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
