Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climbed 0.19% to Rs 1,000.65/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand. Analysts cite higher participant bets as a key factor.
New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) Copper futures rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 1,000.65 per kilogram on Thursday due to higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 1.90, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 1,000.65 per kg in a business turnover of 5,586 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
