Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climb on MCX due to increased spot demand. February contracts up by 0.93% to Rs 1,340.60/kg. Analyst views inside.
New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Copper futures rose by Rs 12.40 to Rs 1,340.60 per kg on Wednesday due to higher spot demand.


On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery grew by Rs 12.40, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 1,340.60 per kilogram in a business turnover of 6,557 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
