Copper Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Copper futures climbed to Rs 1,401/kg on MCX due to increased spot demand. February contracts saw a 6% rise. Analysts cite higher participation.
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Copper futures rose by Rs 79.30 to Rs 1,401 per kg on Thursday due to higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery grew marginally by Rs 79.30, or 6 per cent, to Rs 1,401 per kilogram in a business turnover of 17,913 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
