Copper Futures Rise: Rs 1377/kg on Firm Global Trend

Copper futures climb to Rs 1377.75/kg on MCX, driven by positive global cues and LME gains. July contract rises in New York.
New Delhi, Jun 2 (PTI) Copper prices rose Rs 11.95 to Rs 1,377.75 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday, tracking firm trends in the international markets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the red metal futures for June delivery gained Rs 11.95, or 0.87 per cent, to Rs 1,377.75 per kg in a business turnover of 17,708 lots.


Analysts said positive global cues supported sentiment.

Globally, Copper futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) increased by USD 163.32, or 1.18 per cent, to USD 13,981.50 per tonne.

Comex red metal futures for the July contract rose 1.32 per cent to USD 6.63 per pound in New York.
