Copper Futures Surge on Increased Demand
Copper prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to higher spot demand and increased bets by participants. The rise in copper futures is attributed to increased demand in the market.
New Delhi, Oct 3 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose Rs 2.90 to Rs 859.50 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in October traded higher Rs 2.90 or 0.34 per cent at Rs 859.50 per kg in a business turnover of 3,497 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
