Coriander Futures Rise: Demand Boosts Prices

Coriander futures jump on increased demand. September contracts climb to Rs 7,852/quintal. Spot market strength & supply constraints cited.
New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Coriander prices on Thursday increased Rs 16 to Rs 7,852 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for September delivery climbed Rs 16 or 0.20 per cent to Rs 7,852 per quintal in 12,395 lots.
A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, market analysts said.
