Coriander Futures Rise: Demand Boosts Prices

Coriander futures climb on increased demand. April contracts up Rs 64 to Rs 11,684/quintal. Spot market strength & supply constraints cited.
New Delhi, Feb 2 (PTI) Coriander prices on Monday rose by Rs 64 to Rs 11,684 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for April delivery climbed Rs 64, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 11,684 per quintal in 13,755 lots. In the previous session, it had settled at Rs 11,620 per quintal on the exchange.
A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, market analysts said. PTI HG
