Coriander Futures Surge on Higher Demand

Coriander futures prices rose on Wednesday due to increased demand and firm spot market trends. Speculators boosted holdings, pushing prices to Rs 7,470 per quintal.
New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) Coriander prices on Wednesday rose Rs 104 to Rs 7,470 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 104 or 1.39 per cent at Rs 7,470 per quintal with an open interest of 23,645 lots.
A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, market analysts said.
