Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Slip on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures fell on weak spot market trends. February delivery down to Rs 3,186/quintal. March contract also slipped.

New Delhi, Feb 16 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday fell to Rs 3,186 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets, following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery fell Rs 32, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 3,186 per quintal with an open interest of 8,640 lots. On Friday, it had closed at Rs 3,218 per quintal.
Similarly, the March contract also slipped Rs 27, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 3,220 per quintal in 54,980 lots. It had settled at Rs 3,247 per quintal in the previous session.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued market trend weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices. PTI HG HG ANU
