Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand
Cottonseed oil cake futures rose on Thursday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, pushing prices up by Rs 36 to Rs 3,534 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday rose Rs 36 to Rs 3,534 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery traded higher by Rs 36 or 1.02 per cent at Rs 3,534 per quintal with an open interest of 24,300 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery traded higher by Rs 36 or 1.02 per cent at Rs 3,534 per quintal with an open interest of 24,300 lots.
