Cottonseed Oil Futures Slip: Demand Softens

Cottonseed oil cake futures fell Rs 38 to Rs 3,640/quintal on weak demand. May delivery traded lower on the NCDEX. Analysts cite subdued market trend.
New Delhi, Apr 1 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday fell Rs 38 to Rs 3,640 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets, following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May delivery traded lower by Rs 38, or 1.04 per cent, to Rs 3,640 per quintal with an open interest of 18,260 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued market trend weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
