Cottonseed Oil Futures Slip: Demand Softens

Cottonseed oil cake futures fall on weak demand. Prices slip to Rs 3,475/quintal. Analysts cite subdued market trends and sell-offs.

New Delhi, Apr 16 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday fell Rs 2 to Rs 3,475 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets, following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May delivery traded lower by Rs 2, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 3,475 per quintal with an open interest of 57,110 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued market trend weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
