Crude Oil Futures Ease Amid Weak Demand

Crude oil futures fell on Friday due to weak spot market demand. Prices declined to Rs 5,622 per barrel on the Multi Commodity Exchange. Global markets saw slight increases in WTI and Brent Crude.

New Delhi, Jun 27 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Friday fell Rs 3 to Rs 5,622 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions tracking weak demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for July delivery declined Rs 3 or 0.05 per cent to Rs 5,622 per barrel in 13,705 lots.
Analysts said the prices were affected following participants offloading their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.54 per cent higher at USD 65.59 per barrel, while Brent Crude rose 0.50 per cent to USD 68.07 per barrel in New York.
