Crude oil futures fell on Tuesday due to low demand, with February delivery trading at Rs 6,688 per barrel on the Multi Commodity Exchange. West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude also declined.

New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Tuesday fell Rs 57 to Rs 6,688 per barrel in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for February delivery traded lower by Rs 57 or 0.85 per cent at Rs 6,688 per barrel in 3,089 lots.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.43 per cent lower at USD 78.48 per barrel while Brent crude was trading 0.53 per cent lower at USD 80.58 lower per barrel in New York.
