Crude oil futures prices rose on Friday, driven by firm spot demand and increased participant positions. MCX saw a Rs 15 gain, while WTI & Brent crude also climbed.
Crude Oil Futures Gain on Strong Spot Demand
New Delhi, Jun 5 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 15 to Rs 8,857 per barrel in futures trade, as participants increased their positions following firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for June delivery traded higher by Rs 15, or 0.17 per cent, at Rs 8,857 per barrel in 4,806 lots.


Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.28 per cent higher at USD 92.78 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.05 per cent to USD 95.08 per barrel in New York.
