Crude oil futures prices rose on Friday, driven by increased demand. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw a rise in trading activity.

New Delhi, Nov 29 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday marginally rose Rs 9 to Rs 5,853 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery traded higher by Rs 9 or 0.15 per cent at Rs 5,853 per barrel in 10,449 lots.

Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.55 per cent higher at USD 69.09 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading 0.03 per cent lower at USD 73.26 per barrel in New York.
