Crude oil futures gained on Tuesday due to firm spot demand. October delivery traded higher at Rs 5,616 per barrel.
Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand
New Delhi, Sep 30 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose Rs 6 to Rs 5,616 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery traded higher Rs 6 or 0.11 per cent at Rs 5,616 per barrel in 10,613 lots.


Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.36 per cent lower at USD 63.22 per barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.41 per cent to USD 67.69 per barrel in New York.
