Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures gained on Monday due to firm spot demand. November delivery up 0.31% at Rs 5,444 per barrel on MCX.

New Delhi, Oct 27 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday rose Rs 17 to Rs 5,444 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for November delivery traded higher Rs 17 or 0.31 per cent at Rs 5,444 per barrel in 14,506 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude for the December contract was trading 0.28 per cent higher at USD 61.67 per barrel, while Brent crude for the December contract rose 0.26 per cent to USD 66.11 per barrel in New York.
