Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures gain Rs 45 to Rs 5,975/barrel on firm spot demand. Analysts cite increased bets. WTI & Brent crude prices fluctuate.

New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Sunday rose Rs 45 to Rs 5,975 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for February delivery traded higher by Rs 45 or 0.76 per cent at Rs 5,975 per barrel in 16,388 lots.
Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.32 per cent lower at USD 65.21 per barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.39 per cent to USD 69.32 per barrel in New York.
