Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures gain Rs 38 to Rs 5,951/barrel on firm spot demand. March delivery up 0.64% on MCX. WTI & Brent crude also rise.

New Delhi, Feb 19 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Thursday rose Rs 38 to Rs 5,951 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery traded higher by Rs 38, or 0.64 per cent, at Rs 5,951 per barrel in 7,186 lots.
Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.26 per cent higher at USD 65.36 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.17 per cent to USD 70.47 per barrel in New York. PTI DR DR BAL
