Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures gain Rs 50 to Rs 6,095 per barrel on firm spot demand. March delivery up 0.83% on MCX. WTI & Brent crude also rise.

New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose Rs 50 to Rs 6,095 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery traded higher by Rs 50, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 6,095 per barrel in 15,375 lots.
Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures market.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.60 per cent higher at USD 66.71 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.49 per cent to USD 71.46 per barrel in New York.
