Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures prices increase due to firm spot demand. May delivery up 3.99% at Rs 9,289 per barrel on MCX.

New Delhi, Apr 10 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 356 to Rs 9,289 per barrel in futures trade, as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for May delivery traded higher by Rs 356 or 3.99 per cent at Rs 9,289 per barrel in 15,828 lots.
Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 2.50 per cent higher at USD 100.34 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 2.28 per cent to USD 98.09 per barrel in New York.
