Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand
New Delhi, May 26 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 152 to Rs 8,778 per barrel in futures trade, as participants increased their positions following firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for June delivery traded higher by Rs 152 or 1.76 per cent at Rs 8,778 per barrel in 11,942 lots.


Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

However, globally West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 4.84 per cent lower at USD 91.92 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 2.37 per cent to USD 98.42 per barrel in New York.
