New Delhi, May 11 (PTI) Media house DB Corp Ltd on Monday reported an 18.83 per cent year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 62.20 crore in the March quarter of FY26.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 52.33 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, DB Corp said in a regulatory filing.

Revenue from operations was up 5.24 per cent to Rs 576.39 crore in the March quarter under review. It was at Rs 547.65 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

"For Q4FY2026, despite uncertainties amid global geopolitical tensions, our print business maintained strong momentum led by an improved overall advertiser sentiment," DB Corp said in its earnings statement.

Advertising demand remained strong across key sectors such as education, real estate, healthcare, automobile and government, supported by improving consumption trends, it added.

"While the newsprint prices saw some increase due to supply disruptions, higher raw material costs, and foreign exchange movements, the management believes that this is a temporary disruption for a couple of quarters only," it said.

DB Corp's total expenses were at Rs 504.36 crore in the quarter under review, up 1.68 per cent year-on-year.

Its revenue from "printing, publishing and allied business" was up 6.1 per cent to Rs 541.48 crore in the March quarter.

However, revenue from the radio business was down 7 per cent at Rs 35 crore.

Total income of DB Corp, which includes other income, was up 4 per cent to Rs 589.56 crore in the March quarter.

For the entire FY26, DB Corp's profit was at Rs 332 crore, down 10.5 per cent. The total consolidated income was marginally up to Rs 2,440.80 crore.

Managing Director Sudhir Agarwal said the company's performance in FY26 reflects strong and consistent progress, driven by healthy execution across core businesses.

"Print continues to demonstrate resilience with sustained advertising demand and stable circulation, reinforcing our confidence in the medium's relevance and strength in our key markets. At the same time, our digital platforms are scaling well, with improving engagement and a growing user base," he said.

DB Corp is one of the largest print media companies and publishes newspapers Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar. It also owns 94.3 MY FM radio station.
