New Delhi, Mar 19 (PTI) Engineering firm DEE Development Engineers Ltd on Thursday began commercial production at its newly established seamless pipe manufacturing plant located in Anjar, Gujarat.

The facility, with an installed capacity of 7,000 metric tonnes per annum, marks a significant milestone in the company's strategy to strengthen backward integration and expand its presence in high-specification piping products.

The plant will manufacture seamless pipes and tubes catering to critical applications across sectors like oil and gas and industrial infrastructure.

The plant has been developed with a total capital investment of approximately Rs 89.74 crore, comprising Rs 63.37 crore towards plant and machinery, Rs 24.82 crore towards building, and Rs 1.55 crore towards electrical infrastructure, reflecting a focused investment in manufacturing capabilities.

The facility is expected to contribute incremental revenue beginning the first quarter of 2026-27, with capacity utilisation and operational efficiencies improving progressively over the next four quarters.

"With a strong order pipeline and growing demand across energy and industrial infrastructure sectors, we believe this facility will play a key role in supporting our future growth and improving our overall operating performance as utilisation scales up," said K L Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director, DEE Development Engineers Ltd.
