DGFT announces DPIIT-recognized startups can now register on the 'Source from India' feature of the Trade Connect e-platform to boost exports and gain global visibility.

New Delhi, Aug 6 (PTI) The government-recognized startups can register under the 'Source from India' feature on the Trade Connect e-platform to avail facilities of the portal, according to a notice issued on Thursday.
The platform has been launched as a one-stop digital interface designed to strengthen support for Indian exporters.
A key flagship feature on the platform, 'Source from India', serves as a one- stop reference point for international buyers to discover accomplished Indian exporters for sourcing of products.
The service allows exporters to create their own microsites on Trade Connect and showcase their products as well as credentials of their entity.
"In order to facilitate startup exporters in creating their profiles on the 'Source from India' facility of the Trade Connect ePlatform, it has now been decided to amend the eligibility criteria for exporters to avail the said facility," Directorate General of foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a trade notice.
"DPIIT-recognized startups having meeting the eligibility criteria... may be encouraged to register under the 'Source from India' feature on Trade Connect ePlatform," it added.
It said that the inclusion is essential as DPIIT-recognized startups are increasingly contributing innovative, high-quality products and services to global markets.
Providing them visibility on an official buyer-discovery platform will support their export growth, help diversify India's export basket, and strengthen India's positioning as a hub for innovation-led exports, it said.
Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is an arm of the commerce and industry ministry.
