Embraer & Bharat Forge Sign Supply Contract

New Delhi, May 11 (PTI) Brazilian aerospace major Embraer has inked a contract with Bharat Forge for supply of forged raw materials.

This first supply contract signed with an Indian company reflects Embraer's commitment to advancing the aerospace ecosystem in India and creating long term value across the entire supply chain, a release said on Monday.


"In line with our supply chain diversification strategy, we view India as a major opportunity. This contract reinforces our plans to create a more resilient and competitive supply chain, as well as our commitment to developing the Indian aerospace industry," Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer, said.

Embraer is expanding its presence in India.

In January this year, the company along with Adani Group announced a strategic collaboration that aims to set up a regional aircraft manufacturing facility in India.
