Equal AI Secures $30M for AI Call Assistant Expansion in India
Hyderabad, Jun 12 (PTI) Equal AI, an AI call assistant, has secured USD 30 million in its Series B funding round, raised in tranches and co-led by Prosus Ventures and Tomales Bay Capital.

Both investors had previously co-led Equal AI's USD 10 million Series A round in November 2024, alongside founder Keshav Reddy.

The capital infusion will support Equal AI's growth roadmap as it advances its vision of becoming India's AI assistant for everyday needs, serving the country's nearly one billion smartphone users, according to a press release issued by the city-based firm.

Equal AI now has more than one million monthly active users and has crossed 350,000 daily active users across India, making it one of the largest consumer AI voice products built in India for Indian users.

Keshav Reddy, Founder of Equal AI, said: "Prosus Ventures and Tomales Bay have stood with us since day one. Their decision to deepen this partnership is both a vote of confidence and a responsibility, and we intend to keep earning it. We are building Equal AI for the long term and for every Indian."

The AI call assistant is rapidly becoming a daily-use product for Indians, helping users block spam calls, understand caller intent, take actions on their behalf, and complete tasks end-to-end, the company said.

The company further claimed that Equal AI is the first AI-native product of its kind to be built and scaled at this level in India and that it reflects a fundamental behavioural shift, with users increasingly trusting AI to manage their communications.
