New Delhi, Apr 30 (PTI) ESAF Small Finance Bank on Thursday reported Rs 24 crore net profit in the March quarter of FY26.

The bank had booked a loss of Rs 183 crore in the year-ago period.

The total income rose to Rs 1,196 crore in the period under review from Rs 1,037 crore in January-March of the preceding fiscal.

At the same time, interest income increased to Rs 995 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 892 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The operating profit of the bank also improved to Rs 241 crore against Rs 91 crore in Q4 FY25.


On the asset quality side, the bank's gross non-performing assets (NPAs) moderated to 5.41 per cent of gross advances as of March 31, 2026, from 6.87 per cent reported at the end of March 2025.

Its net NPAs also eased to 1.77 per cent of the advances at the end of March 2026 from 2.99 per cent at the end of the previous fiscal.

As a result, provisions (other than tax) and contingencies came down to Rs 214 crore from Rs 332 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

During the quarter, the bank raised Rs 150 crore from Tier II bonds.

The bank's capital adequacy ratio improved to 22.2 per cent as of March 31, 2026, from 21.84 per cent as of March 31, 2025.
