EXL Expands Chennai Office for AI Talent & Data Innovation

New Delhi, Jun 12 (PTI) NASDAQ-listed global data and AI company, EXL on Friday announced expansion of its Chennai office with addition of capacity for 265 employees, boosting the facility's total capacity to about 550 employees.

The latest move strengthens EXL's presence in one of India's leading technology and talent hubs, the company said in a release announcing the expansion.

The Chennai centre supports EXL's growing healthcare and payment integrity businesses, bringing together professionals with expertise across AI, advanced analytics, data science and healthcare.


"EXL, a global data and AI company, announced the expansion of its Chennai office, adding capacity for 265 employees, bringing the facility's total capacity to approximately 550 employees and further strengthening EXL's presence in one of India's leading technology and talent hubs," the release said.

As demand for AI-powered solutions continues to grow, the centre will play an increasingly important role in developing and delivering solutions that help healthcare organisations improve payment accuracy, identify fraud, wastage and abuse and drive better operational outcomes, according to the company.

Vikas Bhalla, President and head of AI Services and Operations, EXL said that the centre strengthens the company's ability to build differentiated capabilities across AI, analytics, and operations while helping clients navigate an increasingly data-driven future.

The expansion is expected to spur opportunities across AI engineering, product development, data analytics and healthcare domain consulting, contributing to Chennai's growing technology ecosystem, as per the release.
