Flipkart achieves ISO 31000:2018 alignment for risk management, validated by BSI. Enhances governance and resilience in e-commerce operations.

New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) E-commerce firm Flipkart on Thursday said its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework has successfully aligned with the global ISO 31000:2018 guidelines following an independent assessment by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
The assessment covered the company's core e-commerce operations, including technology, supply chain and logistics, platform, and human resources, Flipkart said in a statement.
The independent review by BSI validates that the company's risk management strategies are robust and operate with high levels of integrity and precision.
"Efficient risk management is central to how we operate at scale. The independent assessment of our Enterprise Risk Management framework based on ISO 31000:2018 guidelines reflects our continued focus on governance, regulatory adherence and long-term value creation.
"We remain committed to building a resilient and accountable organisation that customers, sellers and partners can place their trust in," Pramod Jain, Senior Vice President (Tax, Risk & Insurance), Flipkart Group, said.
The alignment adds to Flipkart's existing compliance benchmarks.
Last year, BSI awarded the company the BS 65000:2022 Letter of Recognition for Organisational Resilience and recertification for the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard.
Established in 2007, the Flipkart Group currently has a registered user base of over 500 million. The marketplace hosts over 1.4 million sellers and offers more than 150 million products across 80-plus categories.
